Christianity, the Real Deal - Wrong Living to Right Living – Resting in God’s Spirit

Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’” But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. John 7:37-39
This Jesus God raised up again, to which we are all witnesses. Therefore, having been exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He has poured forth this which you both see and hear …. Now when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brethren, what shall we do?” Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself.”  Acts 2:32-33, 37-39
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace which He lavished on us. In all wisdom and insight, He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him …. In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory. Ephesians 1:7-9, 13-14

Today's thoughts from today's verses:

Read through the Scriptures in this conclusion again and let the beauty of God’s New Covenant plan (the indwelling Holy Spirit) resonate more fully in your heart and mind than ever before. Truly as believers in Christ we are sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise. Truly, He will graciously unfold in our lives the fullness of the right and good life He desires. Lay back in His gracious arms of love and strength and know Him better and more fully. He is truly able to accomplish the good work He has begun in you both now and until the very end (Philippians 1:6).  May it be that all the way along the Holy Spirit has dominion over your human spirit so that you truly live right and not wrong throughout all your days.

Today's prayer response from today's thoughts:

Lord, thank you for your wonderful plan that calls me to live right and provides me with the means to do so through the gift of your Spirit. I will seek to go forward trusting fully in Christ as he lives and works in me through the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. I yield to you and rest in you, Lord, as you have full dominion over my human spirit. I love you and worship you. Amen!
